A Windows Installer error is a very common computer errors that pop up sometimes when you install a program on the PC. Some of the errors that may have been issued for this error:

· "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed"

· "Windows Installer Service could not be started"

· "Could not start Windows Installer Service on the local computer. Error 5: Access is denied."

The errorusually occurs in the early stages of the installation, because this is when a part is being accessed from Windows as MSI. MSI simply means "known to Microsoft Installer.
